INTTRA opens Singapore office

INTTRA opens Singapore office New Jersey-based ocean carrier e-commerce platform INTTRA has opened its Southeast Asia regional headquarters in Singapore, the company said Tuesday.
   The Singapore office will serve as INTTRA’s global service center for finance and information technology.
   “Logistics today is no longer just about moving boxes,' said Lim Kok Kiang, director of logistics for the Singapore Economic Development Board, in a statement. 'It is about coming up with efficient and effective solutions. The critical mass of manufacturers, traders and logistics companies here makes Singapore an ideal place to form partnerships and create solutions. We are very excited about INTTRA’s growing presence here and we look forward to working closely with partners like INTTRA to build supply chain management solutions.”
   “Singapore is a second home to us,' said William Jennings, INTTRA chief financial officer. 'With a strong maritime industry, geographic proximity to key markets, and an impressive infrastructure, Singapore is an ideal location from which INTTRA can broaden its service offerings.'
   Earlier this week, Korean carrier Hanjin became the latest carrier to sign on to the INTTRA platform.
