Bill Dale, president of Great Western Steamship, said that the new venture will allow the company to further its relationships with beneficial cargo owners in the Asia/U.S. and other trades.
In addition to the core executives assigned to the venture, Great Western Steamship has on staff senior representatives experienced in global logistics, supply chain management, consolidation, and truck/rail logistics.
The company said that the emphasis of the new division will be on sea freight, but it is also currently discussing airfreight and sea/air consolidation functions with clients.
