FCBF offering OTI training class

FCBF offering OTI training class The Florida Customs Brokers & Forwarders Association is offering a training class on how to become an ocean transportation intermediary Dec. 5 in Miami.
   The seminar covers the requirements for becoming both an ocean freight forwarder and a non-vessel-operating common carrier.
   Instructors will include Ralph Freibert from the Federal Maritime Commission's Office of Transportation Intermediaries in Washington; Andrew Margolis, FMC South Florida area representative; Greg Kritz, Roanoke Trade Services vice president covering bonding; and Steve Horton of Horton Global Strategies covering tariff publishing.
   The seminar will run 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Miami Free Zone, 2305 N.W. 107th Ave., Room 1M10. Cost is $45 for members and $65 for non-members.
