DHL building Hong Kong center for apparel    DHL said it will spend about $13 million on a new 120,000-square-foot forwarding center and Fashion Competency Center in Kowloon Commercial Center that will develop logistic products for custom or 'bespoke' clothing.
   Fashion and apparel sector comprised 11 percent of total exports in Hong Kong in 2008, second only to electronics goods.
   'We see tremendous opportunity in the coming years. Despite the economic slowdown, speed to market remains crucial for business to stay competitive,' said Hermann Ude, global chief executive officer for DHL Global Forwarding.
   Hong Kong's fashion and apparel industry exported 130,000 tons of air freight and 270,000 TEUs of ocean cargo last year.
