Tropical, Thompson set holiday schedules

Tropical, Thompson set holiday schedules Tropical Shipping and affiliate carrier Thompson Line will close some of their offices in observance of Memorial Day, and have adjusted their shipping and receiving schedules accordingly.
   Tropical offices in the United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands will be closed on Memorial Day, May 28. As a result, Monday departures to Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas will be cancelled. The regularly scheduled Monday sailing from the Port of Palm Beach to Freeport will depart on Saturday and call Freeport on Monday. Full-containerload and less-than-containerload cargoes will have to be delivered to receiving stations Friday.
   Meanwhile, Thompson Line terminals and offices in Medley, Port Everglades and Tampa will be closed Monday. Cargo and documentation cutoff times for Tuesday departures have been moved up to Friday.
