Vessel seized at Port Everglades A bulk freighter carrying cement from Europe was seized by U.S. Marshals Wednesday in response to a lawsuit filed in federal admiralty court by crew members claiming some $33,000 in wages.
   U.S. District Judge Shelby Highsmith Jr. ordered the arrest of the Antares, a Panamanian-flagged vessel registered to Cometa United Corp. and managed by Intersea Management, according to a report in the Miami Herald.
   The 10 crew members were being represented by Miami maritime attorney Ross Toyne. He was the lawyer in 2005 for the crew of a casino cruise ship whose 160-member crew claimed it was owed $300,000 in wages. The vessel in that case was later sold at auction in Fort Lauderdale for $3.8 million.
