BA Cargo going back to Saudi Arabia

BA Cargo going back to Saudi Arabia British Airways World Cargo said Friday it is resuming flights from London to Jeddah and Riyadh for the first time since 2005.
   The airline will start five weekly services to both of the Saudi Arabia cities from March 29. A Boeing 767 will be used for the Jeddah flights and a 767 for the Riyadh flights.
   BA stopped serving Saudi Arabia more than three years ago due to weakening demand. But in June, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia agreed to increase the number of flights between the two countries from 13 to 35.
   'Demand for services into Saudi Arabia has grown considerably as a result of significant increases in inward investment into the country and the ongoing importance of the oil market,” said Johnny Rubio, BA World Cargo's area commercial manager for the Middle East, Central Asia, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, in a statement. “We anticipate the bulk of cargo to reflect this investment with key commodities including building materials and equipment designed for the oil industry.'
