ELD provider ONE20 closing shop

Performance may decrease significantly before operations cease; meanwhile, GeoSpace Labs is offering incentives for abandoned customers.    ONE20, a provider of electronic logging devices, navigation and route information, revealed it will cease operations June 18.
As a result, GeoSpace Labs said it is reducing the cost of its ELD by $100 if a picture of a now- worthless ONE20 ELD is submitted. The company will also two-day ship new ELDs for free due to the ONE20 debacle so that drivers can make the transition before they are required to get off paper logs after eight days.
American Shipper provided coverage for drivers earlier this month on what to do if their ELDs stop working.
Commenting on its F-ELD, ONE20 said, “We are working hard to find a company who can continue to update and support your F-ELD into the future. We’ll keep you updated on those efforts so watch your email for updates in the coming weeks.
“To be clear, we’re only talking about the F-ELD solution provided by One20 Inc. Some third-party companies provide products and services under the ONE20 brand — you’ll need to talk to them about their future plans,” ONE20 added.
In regard to ONE20 Maps and MyONE20, the company said customers may begin to see significantly decreased performance well before June 18, but suggested other industry apps customers might find useful include CoPilot, Trucker Path and Drivewyze.
