Ambitious Mumbai bridge plan stalled A plan to build a giant oversea bridge connecting Mumbai with the nearby Nhava Sheva container terminal is hitting a roadblock, Indian press outlets reported Wednesday.
   The 22-kilometer bridge would be the second-longest ocean-crossing span in the world if completed. (The Hangzhou Bridge connecting Shanghai and Ningbo in China will be the largest when completed next year) State officials in Maharashtra planned to have the six-lane highway connecting India's biggest city with the country's busiest container terminal in place by 2011, but another state office raised objections over the project, saying it catered only to private transport.
   The trans-harbor bridge is one of four bridge projects held up in the Mumbai area, notorious for having some of India's worst road traffic.
