EC plans to open aviation negotiations with Australia, Chile and India    The European Commission said Monday it plans to start aviation negotiations with Australia, Chile and India, to open respective air markets and improve regulatory cooperation.
   “The single aviation market in the EU with open market access and high regulatory standards has created huge benefits for the EU aviation industry and consumers. I believe that this success can be repeated in our international aviation relations,” said Jacques Barrot, vice president of the European Commission with responsibility for transport.
   Chile and Australia, have already signed “horizontal agreements,” which remove nationality restrictions in bilateral agreements between member states and third countries, with the EU.
