Wagner rebrands, picks new CEO

   Third party logistics services provider Wagner Industries has rebranded under the name Wagner Logistics and paired the change with a promotion of Brian Smith to the role of chief executive officer.
   The company was founded as Wagner Cartage Service 66 years ago. It previously changed its name to Wagner Industries in 1979.
   “The name change is the result of our evolving business model and describes exactly what we do for our customers,” said John Wagner Jr., who will remain president and retain an ownership position. “We want companies looking for solutions to their logistics challenges to know exactly where they can find a great partner and resource.”
   Smith joined Wagner in 2005 and has served in a variety of management positions.
   The company also launched a new Website which will serve as the home for its operations and customer interactions.
