NWA Cargo, Cargolux to lower fuel surcharges

NWA Cargo, Cargolux to lower fuel surcharges    Luxembourg-based all-cargo airline Cargolux and NWA Cargo, the cargo arm of Northwest Airlines, will from next month lower their fuel surcharges, due to a decline in world jet fuel prices.
   Effective Oct. 9, NWA Cargo’s surcharge will be reduced from 60 cents to 55 cents per kilogram for U.S.-origin international bulk shipments, while domestic bulk freight and VIP surcharges will drop to 22 cents from 25 cents per pound.

   Cargolux’s fuel surcharge will be lowered to 0.55 euros (70 cents) per kilogram from 0.60 euros on all shipments, effective Oct.10.
