The 'Alaskan Navigator' will join her sister ships, the 'Alaskan Frontier' (delivered in 2004) and the 'Alaskan Explorer' (delivered in 2005), carrying crude from Alaska to BP's refineries in Cherry Point, Wash., and Los Angeles. NASSCO will deliver the fourth ship in late 2006.
Each of the Alaska-class vessels is 941 feet long, with a beam of 164 feet and a capacity of 1.3 million barrels of oil.
