Committee seeks Tampa commissioner candidate A nominating committee from the Port of Tampa Propeller Club and Port of Tampa Maritime Industries Association is seeking applicants for an opening on the Tampa Port Authority board of commissioners.
   Applicants should have training or experience in 'a business involving maritime commerce, port management, terminal management, ship agency business, ship building, ship management, ship operations, ship repair, admiralty law, international trade law, importing or exporting waterborne cargo, or other, similar maritime-related businesses,' the groups said.
   The selected candidate would be required to prepare for and attend regular commission meetings, and also interact with the public and port authority personnel, a notice from the committee said.
