Schneider executive to lead Canadian firm

Schneider executive to lead Canadian firm    Jim Eckler has retired as chief executive officer of SCI Group, but will continue as non-executive vice chairman, according his voice mail message.
   John Ferguson, vice president for international logistics at Schneider Logistics, will replace Eckler on Sept. 7, a spokeswoman for the company confirmed.
   Toronto-based SCI is part of the Canada Post group of companies, which includes Purolator Courier. SCI's operating companies are:
   ' SCI Logistics.
   ' Progistix, which specializes in field services logistics and critical parts networks.
   ' First Team Transport, an expedited, white-glove delivery service for high-value and sensitive products.
   The new job represents a homecoming for Ferguson, who grew up in southern Ontario. ' Eric Kulisch
