Accellos’ cloud managed 3PL service

   Accellos Inc., a provider of supply chain software based in Colorado Springs, Colo., has launched a cloud-managed service for its existing AccellosOne Enterprise 3PL product.
   The service will be offered to both existing and new customers running Accellos’ third-party logistics management software. It will include the provisioning of the computing infrastructure required to run the system with its database, as well as administrative and technical support services.
   The cloud-managed version will be sold as a subscription offering.
   Accellos said the benefits of managing the service on an enterprise cloud with the new offering include more varied pricing, flexible computing resources, stable system and database administration services, ensuring a high-quality data center, better systems monitoring, and the ability to personalize the service to a 3PL’s needs.
   For deploying the service, Accellos partnered with Amazon Web Services and the company’s Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, which provides enterprise-level technology and systems that can be scaled as needed.
   The AccellosOne Enterprise 3PL platform supports a range of activities, including warehousing, billing and documentation, customer visibility, business intelligence, and trading partner integration.
