FEFC lowers BAF, CAF rates for March The Far Eastern Freight Conference has lowered its bunker and currency adjustment factors for March in the northern Europe and Mediterranean regions.
   The bunker adjustment factor applicable to the trade to and from the United Kingdom, northwest Continent, Mediterranean and Scandinavia will be $227 per TEU (from $235 per TEU). For the Baltic Sea region, the charge will be $232 per TEU (from $240 per TEU).
   The FEFC’s currency adjustment factor applicable for the month will be 9.3 percent.
   Member lines of the FEFC are ANL Container Lines, APL, CMA CGM, CSAV Norasia, Egyptian International Shipping Co., Hapag-Lloyd, Hyundai Merchant Marine, “K” Line, Maersk Line, Mediterranean Shipping Co., MISC Berhad, MOL, NYK, OOCL, Safmarine and Yang Ming.
