Associated Press reported that cabinet minister Lennard Montoute said Compton, 82, is lucid and in good spirits, but too weak to stand or walk without assistance.
'It is very unlikely that he will be able to resume his position in government,' Montoute said. Compton has been hospitalized since May 1.
