CEVA expands JIT service from Mexico

CEVA expands JIT service from Mexico    CEVA Logistics said it has added Saturday night service to its trucking service from Mexico to the United States and Canada to meet industrial demand for components on Monday mornings.
   Saturday Night Expedite is primarily aimed at serving automotive companies in the Midwest and Ontario that depend on just-in-time deliveries to prevent costly production shut downs.
   CEVA said the new service has generated strong customer interest so far.
   Most cargo traffic between the United States and Mexico occurs during the week. Automobile manufacturers, in particular, and other maquiladora plants move shipments over the weekend, assisted by a handful of U.S. and Mexican brokers that stay open.
