Korean Customs takes on illicit transshipments    The Korean Customs Service has established an office to prevent goods not produced in South Korea from obtaining preferential tariff treatment under the pending U.S.-Korea Free Trade Agreement and other FTAs.
   The office will include 157 customs officers, the South Korean embassy in Washington said in a statement on Tuesday.
   The office will be equipped with a real-time E-Seal system that can track the entire process, including entry, unloading, transportation, shipping and departure. The customs agency will also carry out targeted inspections of high-risk cargoes, which include all textile shipments.
   In addition, Korean Customs will increase its cooperation with Korea's trading partners, as stopping illegal trans-shipment is a goal shared by all.
