Doane will continue in his role as the company’s president and chief executive officer, taking on the additional role after A&B’s annual meeting of shareholders to be held April 27.
Stockholm served as A&B’s chairman since 1999, and as a director since 1972.
In a related development, A&B board member Walter A. Dods Jr. has been appointed lead independent director, also effective April 27.
