GEORGIEV NAMED DIRECTOR GENERAL OF NAVIBULGAR

GEORGIEV NAMED DIRECTOR GENERAL OF NAVIBULGAR Capt. Rumen Georgiev has been appointed director general of Navigation Maritime Bulgare, the Bulgarian shipping line.
   Georgiev will head the company, which provides container services under the name Bulcon.
   Georgiev has worked for the shipping company for his entire career after graduating from the Bulgarian National Naval Academy in Varna in 1977.
   From 1992 to 2000, he was director and member of the board of Balkan and Black Sea Shipping Co., the London-based agency, chartering and broking arm of Navibulgar.
   Navibulgar owns and operates more than 100 ships totaling 1.8 million deadweight tons. The company’s fleet includes bulk carriers, breakbulk and container ships, ferries, tankers and chemical carriers.
