CMA CGM decreases frequency on Europe-Africa loop

The French ocean carrier adjusted the frequency of its EURAF5 loop between North Europe, the Mediterranean and West Africa from weekly to fortnightly.    Ocean carrier CMA CGM has adjusted the frequency of its EURAF5 loop between North Europe, the Mediterranean and West Africa from weekly to fortnightly, according to the carrier’s online service schedules.
   Changes took effect with the Sept. 22 sailing of the Primus from Lisbon.
   The loop’s rotation remains Lisbon, Leixoes, Tangiers, Algeciras, Pointe Noire, Luanda, Lobito, Namibe, San Pedro, Algeciras and Lisbon.
   The EURAF5 now operates with three vessels with an average vessel capacity of 2,090 TEUs, according to ocean carrier schedule and capacity database BlueWater Reporting.
   Overall, through various services, CMA CGM and its subsidiaries deploy 12,697 TEUs a week from North Europe to Africa and 16,785 TEUs a week from the Mediterranean to Africa, according to BlueWater Reporting’s Carrier Trade Route Deployment report.
