Norfolk terminal tries Saturday hours for peak season Norfolk International Terminals is open on Saturday mornings for a two-and-a-half month period to help clear trucks from the busy Hampton Boulevard on weekdays.
   The terminal opened on Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon and will do so through Dec. 1 to cover the Virginia port’s holiday peak season. The program could be extended beyond its cutoff date if it proves successful, according to the terminal’s operators.
   'We want to be a good neighbor and do our part to help reduce the number of our trucks on Hampton Boulevard,' said Jeff Keever, deputy executive director of the Virginia Port Authority. 'We are encouraging the trucking community and shippers to make use of Saturdays now.'
