NOL names head of business solutions

NOL names head of business solutions    Neptune Orient Lines, the parent company of container carrier APL and APL Logistics, has appointed Jim McAdam senior vice president of business solutions, a new position to support and integrate the activities of both the liner shipping and logistics arms of the group.
   McAdam, who was vice president and managing director of APL’s liner activities in North Asia, will work closely with Ron Widdows, the head of the liner business, and Hans Hickler, the head of APL Logistics.
   McAdam previously held senior positions in liner shipping and logistics.
   “This balance of experience puts him in a unique position to develop strategic business solutions that deliver end-to-end, integrated transportation services to our global customers,” said David Lim, president and chief executive officer of Neptune Orient Lines. McAdam will work at the company's Singapore headquarters.
