TITAN Salvage names Habib VP

TITAN Salvage names Habib VP    TITAN Salvage, a subsidiary of Crowley Maritime Corp., has appointed Capt. Rich Habib to vice president with responsibility for the company’s operations, administration, finance and commercial activities.
   He is based at TITAN’s headquarters in Pompano Beach, Fla., and reports to Todd Busch, Crowley's senior vice president and general manager of technical services.
   In this role, Habib replaces Dan Schwall, who now heads business development, sales and marketing efforts of Crowley’s new solutions group, which brings together marine contract services, engineering, naval architecture, project management and logistics, to deliver customized solutions for customers.
   Habib served as an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1977 to 1984. After leaving the Coast Guard in 1984, he worked in the oil field aboard supply boats and later specialized in the international tramp heavy lift trade aboard Dock Express and Van Ommeren vessels, where he sailed as master and was a project manager.
