United Arab Shipping Agency Co. (North West Europe) GmbH was incorporated Aug. 28 and will assume agency duties for UASC in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, effective Jan. 1.
UASC holds a majority shareholding in the new company and will maintain the existing office locations in all three countries. Ron Vink has been appointed managing director of UASC (NWE) GmbH.
“We are delighted to have achieved our goal of providing a stable platform on which to build our future growth in Germany, Belgium and Holland,” said Ken Bloch S'rensen, UASC’s president and chief executive officer.
