Delays for boxes bound for Delhi freight station    Ocean carrier Mediterranean Shipping Co. said this week in a notice to customers that an inland container depot near Delhi has become so congested, it is recommending shippers use three other depots to move shipments faster.
   The carrier said that demand at the inland container depot in Tughlakabad has lead to waiting time at ports for rail service to the depot of 12 to 15 days.
   'With the start of the monsoon time (beginning of June until the end of August) this waiting time might increase up to three weeks.'
   The carrier suggested shippers use depots in Loni, Patli and Faridabad instead. The Tughlakabad depot, operated by the state-owned Container Corp. of India, is the closest facility to central Delhi.
