Mulholland was head of Matson from 1990 to 2002, before moving upstairs to the position of vice chairman and retiring in 2003 after 38 years at the U.S. Jones Act company.
'While a full list of accomplishments would be impressive, suffice it to say that his contributions to Matson were remarkable,' said Jim Andrasick, Mulholland's successor at Matson. 'Brad is well known to many at Matson and was characterized by his warm, personal style. He received many words of greatly appreciated support from Matson employees and retirees during his illness. He will be greatly missed.'
