Sunny Delight picks Transplace for CNG fleet

   Transplace, a provider of transportation management services and logistics technology, has implemented of a compressed natural gas (CNG) fleet in Southern California for Sunny Delight Beverages Co.
   The fleet, deployed by Glacier Transportation, will lower emissions and fuel costs for the beverage shipper. The five-year deal covers product delivery to Sunny Delight’s customers in the Southern California region.
   Sunny Delight has announced a long-term goal to transition from diesel to a CNG fuel-based truck fleet wherever the infrastructure supports it. The company also estimates it will save an estimated 400,000 gallons of diesel fuel in 2012 due to the conversion.
