UPS Supply Chain Solutions reengineers HSNÆs supply chain    HSN, the television shopping entity, has engaged integrator UPS in a multi-year agreement to streamline and reengineer its fulfillment and supply chain operations.
   Packages reach HSN customers an average of two days faster, UPS said, through its package delivery network and the efforts of UPS Supply Chain Solutions, which is providing supply chain planning, freight transportation and brokerage services for ocean, air and ground shipments of inventory from around the world.
   UPS Supply Chain Solutions said it has reengineered HSN's supply chain by reconfiguring inbound and outbound logistics and tying together four distribution centers. The UPS unit is also fulfilling orders for products at two facilities California and New Jersey.
   HSN customers can obtain shipments status online or via HSN's toll-free number. In addition, HSN customer services representatives also have fast access to shipment status, UPS said.
   HSN, based in St. Petersburg, generated worldwide consolidated sales of close to $2 billion in 2002, and is the fourth-largest cable television network in the world.
