APL APPOINTS YANG MARKETING VICE PRESIDENT

APL APPOINTS YANG MARKETING VICE PRESIDENT    APL, the liner shipping and logistics arm of Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines, has appointed Carolyn Yang vice president, marketing.
   Yang worked for Procter & Gamble since graduating with a Business Administration degree from the National University of Singapore 13 years ago. She was fast tracked through Procter & Gamble and comes to APL from the Far East division of P&G in Kobe, Japan, where she had been marketing director.
   APL said that Yang’s consumer-based marketing experience will allow her to offer a fresh perspective in the company and its industry.
   The company said that one of Yang’s key responsibilities will be to bring innovative thinking and new ideas about product definition, and market and customer segmentation.
