TNT launches new road service between Georgia, Turkey

In addition, the express delivery company shortened its European road transit times to and from Moscow up to 48 hours by connecting Russia via its its Warsaw, Poland hub.    TNT has launched a new road service between Tbilisi, Georgia in the Caucasus region and Istanbul, Turkey, effective immediately, according to a statement from the express delivery company.
   From Istanbul, situated in northwest Turkey across the Bosphorus Strait, TNT will connect the Caucasus freight on its European road network to over 40 European countries.
   The new service, which will offer competitive prices and transit times for parcels and palletized freight, will give customers the ability to ship items up to 30 cubic meters and up to 1,000 kilograms per piece of pallet.
   In addition, the integrator shortened its European road transit times to and from Moscow by up to 48 hours (depending on origin) by connecting Russia via its Warsaw, Poland hub, effective immediately.
   Until now, TNT only connected Russia via Turku, Finland. Road deliveries from Scandinavia will continue to transit through the Turku hub.
