'Senthilkumar is a qualified engineer with considerable experience in port services and container terminal operations,' Grup Maritim said in a statement.
The terminal is scheduled to come on line in mid-2012. Spread across 50 hectares, facilities will include 33 electric rubber-tire gantry cranes, 1,000 meters of berth, four post-Panamax and for super post-Panamax cranes.
Last year, a consortium led by Grup Mar'tim TCB won the public tender to build the terminal. The consortium also includes the Spanish company Obrasc'n Huarte Lain SA (OHL), Indian construction firm Lanco Infratech Ltd. and Indian infrastructure investment company Eredene Capital PLC.
