Dubai airport January cargo spikes    Dubai International Airport's air cargo volume rose 31.5 percent in January compared to the same month in 2009, the airport said this week.
   Volume rose to 171,453 tons this January ,from 130,375 tons.
   “Freight growth is likely to continue throughout the rest of the year as additional capacity comes on line and global cargo movement picks up,” said Paul Griffiths, chief executive of Dubai Airports, which is opening the first phase in June of what would be the world's largest airport.
   The airport added that the increase in freight volume increase is primarily due to expansion from flagship airline Emirates Skycargo, the airport added. Dubai has seen a 39.9 percent rise in transshipments, a 33.6 percent increase in exports and a 29.3 percent rise in imports.
