Team Lines to use new Polish port facility

Team Lines to use new Polish port facility Hamburg-based Team Lines, one of Europe’s largest feeder operators, has signed a contract with DCT Gdansk SA to start regular calls at Poland’s newest deepwater port facility.
   DCT Gdansk is scheduled to commence operations on Friday. Once all cranes and related machinery are in place by September the facility will have an annual throughput capacity of 500,000 TEUs.
   “Having kept our pledge to deliver a modern deepwater terminal for the Baltic on time and on budget we are delighted that Team Lines has decided to initiate calls with us,” said Colin Chanter, DCT Gdansk’s chief executive officer.
   The Macquarie Global Infrastructure Fund II, owned by Australia’s Macquarie Bank Group, is the major shareholder and equity investor in DCT Gdansk.
