BBC, Teras in U.S. flag joint venture

BBC, Teras in U.S. flag joint venture    Teras Cargo Transport (America) LLC and BBC Chartering & Logistic    said they have formed a Houston-based joint venture company, Teras BBC Chartering, to operate a U.S.-flag heavy lift ship.
   The companies will jointly own the 7,500-deadweight-ton multipurpose heavy lift vessel BBC Houston. The ship has combined crane capacity of 500 metric tons and a service speed of 16.5 knots.
   Teras Cargo Transport, based in Gig Harbor, Wash., is a subsidiary of Singapore-based Ezion Holdings and provides shipping services to the oil and gas, energy, mining, minerals and infrastructure industries. BBC Chartering USA is a subsidiary of BBC Chartering, headquartered in Leer, Germany.
