SAS SELECTS UNISYS AIR CARGO SOFTWARE    Scandinavian Airlines System Cargo has contracted with Unisys Corp. for software to implement SAS’s air-freight logistics operations.
   SAS will use the Unisys Logistics Management System and application outsourcing services. Unisys will host and integrate a platform that can be used by SAS’s partners and customers, as well as supporting time-definite shipments.
   “The move from in-house systems to an outsourced community service is a big step … our staff has been receptive to the browser user interface, which brings the familiarity of Internet technology to their day-to-day operations while reducing our legacy communications costs,” said Peter Gronlund, president and chief executive officer of SAS Cargo.
