Exel adds U.K. logistics business

Exel adds U.K. logistics business    Global logistics provider Exel has signed separate contracts to distribute parts and supplies for Thames Water, a large utility and a beverage company in England.
   Exel will deliver spare parts and material from a distribution center to depots and job sites in the London area and southeast portion of the country under a three-year contract with Thames Water. The emergency services contract calls for supplies, including clean bottled water if water shortages occur, to be delivered within four hours of a water main break or other malfunction.
   Exel also said it expanded a trial program with Matthew Clark distributors and sister company Constellation Wines to deliver drinks to bars, clubs, hotels and restaurants in Ireland.
