CSAV Norasia, Hapag-Lloyd adding ship, ports to Asia/Black Sea loop

CSAV Norasia, Hapag-Lloyd adding ship, ports to Asia/Black Sea loop Hong Kong-based CSAV Norasia, a wholly owned subsidiary of Chile's CSAV Group, and Germany's Hapag-Lloyd will add a ship and extra calls in China and Saudi Arabia to their joint weekly Asia Black Sea service.
   From early March, the ABS will add calls in Xingang and Qingdao in Northern China and eastbound calls in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Chiwan in Southern China. To accommodate the extra ports, an eighth ship will be added to the rotation, with CSAV Norasia operating seven vessels and Hapag-Lloyd one ship. The vessels have an average capacity of 4,200 TEUs and speed of 22.5 knots.
   The port rotation on the ABS will be Xingang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Keelung, Chiwan, Port Kelang, Jeddah, Port Said, Constanza, Odessa, Istanbul, Port Said, Jeddah, Colombo, Port Kelang, Chiwan and back to Xingang.
   CSAV Norasia will also offers connections on the ABS from the Black Sea and East Mediterranean to Japan via a dedicated feeder service from Shanghai.
