BOC Aviation buys two Boeing 747-8 freighters

The new generation freighters will be leased to AirBridgeCargo for use on one of their 38 routes between Asia, Europe and North America.    BOC Aviation has purchased two Boeing 747-8 freighters, which will be leased to Russia’s AirBridgeCargo Airlnes (ABC).
   Exact lease terms were not disclosed.
   The aggregate price for the aircraft is around $758.2 million, which includes the airframe, optional features and engine price. However, per the notice to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, BOC noted how there is a significant difference between the list price and the actual purchase price of the aircraft.
   ABC, which is a member of Russia’s Volga-Dnepr Group, currently has a fleet of 16 Boeing aircraft and operates 38 routes from Europe to Asia and North America.
   Singapore-based BOC Aviation, which has offices in Dublin, London and Tianjin, owns, manages or has on order 483 aircraft.
