CMA CGM’s CNC takes slots on MOL’s CBE

   The liner shipping company Cheng Lie Navigation (CNC) has begun a slot charter agreement with Mitsui O.S.K. Line on the latter’s weekly Japan to Thailand and the Philippines service CBE. 
   The first sailing left Tokyo Jan. 7 on the MOL Seabreeze. CNC is the Taiwan-based intra-asia specialist subsidiary of CMA CGM.
   The rotation of the CBE remains Tokyo, Yokohama, Shimizu, Nagoya, Busan, Laem Chabang, Manila, and Tokyo. The service operates with three vessels averaging 2,495 TEUs.
   CNC also calls either Laem Chabang or Manila on four other loops from Japan, including the CNC-operated JTC, Yang Ming’s JTX and TS Line’s JHT, all three of which serve Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong to Laem Chabang as well as Bangkok, the latter two through slot sharing agreements.
