Longshoremen endorse Lautenberg The International Longshoremen's Association said it will endorse U.S. Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., in his bid for reelection.
   The dockworkers union said it will make the announcement at a noon rally on Friday May 30 at Berth 25 in Port Newark.
   'Whether the issue is port security, the economy or dredging, Senator Frank Lautenberg has always stood side-by-side with the ILA and our employers making certain the Port of New York and New Jersey and the Port of Camden and Philadelphia remain strong and growing,' said Jerry Owens, the ILA's general organizer.
   Lautenberg, who is running in the primary against nine-term House member Rob Andrews, was also endorsed by the New York Times on Thursday.
