The service, named “S.O.S. – Shipments of Parts,” is managed from Hellmann’s Greek office, Golden Cargo-Hellmann Worldwide, in Piraeus.
Initially started in Greece, Japan, Holland and Italy, the service is being offered on a global basis, the forwarder said.
The service to expedite pickup and shipment to ships is on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Spare parts will be shipped by air freight, express air or express courier, as required.
