CLARIFICATION: MAERSK SEALAND TO INCREASE PACIFIC CAPACITY GRADUALLY    The report “Maersk Sealand adds transpacific service” in the Shippers’ NewsWire dated May 1 should have said that the carrier will build up the capacity of the service gradually.
The service will start in mid-May with ships ranging from 2,061 to 2,825 TEUs in capacity. The initial vessels will be replaced by larger vessels of 3,700/3,800 TEUs in early 2004.
