Grand Alliance drops Shekou on Asia/Europe link    Grand Alliance carriers Hapag-Lloyd, OOCL and NYK Line are omitting a call at Shekou on their Loop B service between the Pacific Northwest, Asia and Europe, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data.
   The service already called South China via a stop at Da Chan Bay.
   The revised rotation will be Busan, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Da Chan Bay, Singapore, Hamburg, Antwerp, Southampton, Jeddah, Dubai, Singapore, Da Chan Bay, Ningbo, Shanghai, Qingdao, Busan, Vancouver, Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo, Nagoya, Kobe and Busan.
   The service operates with 17 vessels, all provided by Hapag-Lloyd, with an average capacity of 8,729 TEUs. New World Alliance carriers APL, MOL and Hyundai Merchant Marine, as well as Zim, all buy slots on the service.
