Dunavant adds warehousing space in Texas

The Memphis, Tenn.-based logistics company increased its footprint in the Houston, Texas area to 577,000 square feet.    Dunavant added 212,000 square feet of chemical warehousing space within the Bay Area Business Park in Pasadena, Texas, which is part of the Houston, Texas metropolitan area.
   The warehousing complex is situated within five miles of the Port of Houston’s two container terminals, the company said.
   With the addition of the new space, Dunavant’s footprint in Houston has increased from 365,000 square feet to 577,000 square feet.
   A total of 20,000 square feet of the recently acquired space has already been leased.
   “Our growing warehousing capacity and capabilities give us the opportunity to be responsive to virtually any warehousing needs, from consumer goods to retail and chemical supplies,” Dunavant Chief Operating Officer Richard McDuffie said in a statement.
