USDA seeks comments on Export Credit Guarantee Program change

   The U.S. Department of Agriculture on Friday invited public comment on proposed changes to the Export Credit Guarantee Program that it said would clarify operations and increase program access.
   The GSM-102 program provides credit guarantees to encourage financing of commercial U.S. agricultural product exports to developing countries.
   The proposed rule would incorporate operational changes that have been implemented since the publication of the current rule, and includes other revisions to provide more clarity. The proposal also includes suggested changes received during the initial publication of the proposed rule on July 27, 2011.
