UPS reports earnings jump    UPS said Wednesday it will see a 37 percent increase in first quarter adjusted diluted earnings per share.
   The company “pre-announced” its expected quarter earnings per share, saying “results were powered by a significant acceleration in the international package and supply chain businesses and improved operating margins” in its domestic and international package and supply chain and freight segments.
   UPS said it will provide additional details April 27.
   The company said consolidated revenue for the period grew 7 percent, driven by increases of 18 percent in International Package and 14 percent in Supply Chain and Freight. International daily volumes grew significantly with export up more than 9 percent and non-U.S. domestic up more than 24 percent. U.S. Domestic daily volume increased nearly 1 percent, the first year-over-year growth in more than two years.
