Jade Cargo receives second 747 freighter, adds three destinations    New Chinese freight airline Jade Cargo International will today add three destinations to its network following delivery last week of its second Boeing 747-400ERF freighter.
   The new aircraft, which Jade leased for a 12-year term, will operate three weekly flights from its cargo hub in Shenzen, China, via Brescia in Northern Italy to Barcelona in Spain as well as three weekly flights from Shenzhen to Osaka in Japan.
   Jade selected Air Logistics Group to represent it exclusively in Spain and Portugal, while Air System Inc. has been appointed to represent the Chinese carrier in Japan. Swiss WorldCargo in July was appointed to represent Jade in Italy, as well as in Switzerland, Germany and France.
   Jade is a joint venture between Shenzhen Airlines (51 percent), Lufthansa Cargo (25 percent) and German financial services firm DEG-Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft (24 percent). It started operations in August serving Amsterdam and Seoul three times per week from Shenzen.
   The airline said it expects to take delivery of its third 747 freighter in February with three more entering service successively until January 2008.
